New Release: Discussões Com Jograis

From the medieval troubadours to renaissance folias, from al-Andaluz to Terra de Vera Cruz, from heathen pipes to the delicate lute, Gambuzinos explores our ancenstor’s musical legacy for the love of art without fear for anachronisms.

Gambuzinos is a group dedicated to the original interpretation of medieval music, Renaissance songs and music from other periods, focused on peculiar stage shows and street performances at historical re-enactment events.

The band explores the different sounds of a wide range of historical instruments, such as bagpipes, shawms, crumhorns, lute, dulcimer, pipe and tabor, traditional drums, war drums, tambourines, among others.

Stage shows

On stage we present a wide range of unusual instruments to interpret a repertoire that time deemed exotic but which carries a strangely familiar humanity. The music is delivered with the due framing that overtakes the archaic barriers of ancient tongues.
