The journey started humbly in the year of 2008, in Coimbra, and since then suffered several metamorphoses.

The group's main area of work has been in re-interpreting medieval, renaissance and traditional repertoire and perform it in historical reenactment events. With hundreds of performances throughout Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Germany and Italy, Gambuzinos experimented with different formations, with dozens of musicians, before reaching the current maturity.
